Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Dahlquist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Preston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Dahlquist! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dahlquist stalks Preston and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Preston's face. Preston staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Dylan Preston has been cut. Preston throws a one two combo.
Dahlquist misses with a straight left. Preston on the wrong end of a nice hook. Dave Dahlquist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Preston looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dahlquist misses with a two punch combination.
Preston jabbing away but nothing is landing. Preston misses with a few strikes there.
Preston tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dahlquist sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Preston somewhat. Preston is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dahlquist sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Preston. That's going to take a lot out of him. Preston stuffs the takedown attempt from Dahlquist. Dahlquist gets slowly back to his feet. Dahlquist moves in looking to clinch but Preston pushes him off. Dahlquist misses the shot to the body. Dahlquist throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Preston moves out of range as Dahlquist throws a body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Preston gets a clinch. Preston pressing his opponent against the cage. Dahlquist has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Dahlquist is trying to force a seperation but Preston has the dominant position. Preston stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Preston ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Preston no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Preston is looking to stand up but Dahlquist isn't so interested in that idea. Preston tries to land a sweep but no joy. Preston is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dahlquist wants to stand but Preston has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Preston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dahlquist stopping the sweep attempt from Preston. Preston is breathing heavily. Dahlquist postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Preston shoots in but Dahlquist avoids the takedown attempt easily. Preston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Some wild striking there from Dahlquist.
Dahlquist misses with a looping left. Dahlquist closes this distance looking for a takedown but Preston circles away. Dahlquist tries to clinch but Preston moves away and Preston counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Preston. Preston wants a takedown.
Preston letting Dahlquist take a breather here. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dahlquist. Preston decides to pull guard. Dahlquist trying to stand up but can't free himself from Preston's guard. Preston will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dahlquist prevents Preston from getting back to his feet. Preston looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dahlquist is one step ahead there. Preston being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dylan Preston will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dylan Preston's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Good standup being displayed there by Dahlquist as he connects with a hook. Dahlquist shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Preston is trying to defend but Dahlquist finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dahlquist wants to stand but Preston has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Preston won't allow Dahlquist to pass to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Preston is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dahlquist really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Preston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Preston pushes Dahlquist off looking to stand but Dahlquist dives back in and keeps control.
Dahlquist wants to stand up but Preston has a hold of him and won't allow it. Dahlquist wants to pass to mount but Preston is defending the position. Dahlquist wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Preston is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dahlquist. Dahlquist displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Preston. Dahlquist connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Preston closes the distance and clinches up with Dahlquist, looking for a takedown. Preston pushes Dahlquist against the cage but Dahlquist circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dahlquist darts in trying to clinch and Preston counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Preston keeps control of Dahlquist as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dahlquist gets underhooks to prevent Preston's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Preston. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dahlquist is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dahlquist wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Preston has him pressed against the cage. Dahlquist is looking to break free of the clinch but Preston has double underhooks. Dahlquist stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

A frustrated look appears on Dahlquist's face as he tries to break the clinch. Preston goes for a takedown attempt but Dahlquist pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Dahlquist throws out a loose jab but Preston uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Preston gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Preston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dahlquist bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Dahlquist misses with the combination.
Dahlquist lands a nice shot that snaps Preston's head back.
Dahlquist scores with a nice strike. Dahlquist scores with the left hand. Preston knows he should have avoided that one. Preston avoids the head kick by Dahlquist.

Dave Dahlquist showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dylan Preston's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Preston shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Preston was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Preston looking to control but Dahlquist is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Preston sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Preston trying to control but Dahlquist is having none of it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Preston wants to control the pace but Dahlquist is squirming around nicely. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dahlquist can do anything to dispel that myth. Preston is really struggling to control Dahlquist but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dahlquist is trying to escape the mount.
Dahlquist wants to control but Preston is having none of it. Dahlquist is squirming around, avoiding Preston's attempts to control the action. Dahlquist is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dahlquist squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Dahlquist controls the position. Preston postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dahlquist looks a forlorn figure.
Preston avoids the attempt from Dahlquist to control. Dahlquist is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Preston controlling his opponent. Preston won't let Dahlquist get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Preston trying to control but Dahlquist is having none of it. Dahlquist holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Preston tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that's the end of the fight! Dylan Preston showed his dominance in that final round. I think Preston has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
