Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Virgillio Adkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Con (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgillio Adkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Con! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adkins wants to clinch up but Con keeps it at a distance. Adkins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Con, pushing him back against the cage. Adkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Adkins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Con regains guard immediately. Con is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Adkins trying to control here.
Con seems to be working for a kimura but Adkins defends the submission attempt. Adkins trying to control from the bottom.
Con is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Con is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Adkins looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Con seems to be working for a kimura but Adkins defends the submission attempt. Con is thwarting Adkins's attempts to control the position. Con tries to pass to full mount but Adkins defends it. Adkins pushes Con off looking to stand but Con dives back in and keeps control.
Con perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adkins is staying active underneath Con, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Adkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Con on the ground. Con wants to pass to mount but Adkins is defending the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Adkins throws a nice looking combination but Con bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Con avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Adkins tries for a takedown but Con sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Con gets caught flat footed, as Adkins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Con looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Con swivels though and keeps the full guard. Con trying to keep a closed guard but Adkins is proving a slippery customer.
Con is looking for a triangle but Adkins pushes his legs off easily.
Adkins won't allow Con to get back to his feet. Adkins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Con is keeping the position for now. Con has momentary wrist control but Adkins slips an elbow through the middle. Adkins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Con can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adkins controls the pace. Adkins working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Con's head. Adkins stands up from Con's guard - Adkins perhaps looking for a knockout. Adkins thuds his right hand into Con's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Con looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Adkins! Adkins wants to get back to his feet.
Con punishing his opponent with strikes. Con looking to isolate an arm here. Adkins doesn't see it coming and as Con extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Con!
