The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ameen avoids the head kick by Nelinho.
Nelinho tries to clinch up but Ameen circles away and keeps his distance.
Ameen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Horrible takedown by Ameen or perhaps it was just good defense by Nelinho which made him look bad.

Ameen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nelinho pinned against the cage. Nelinho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ameen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ameen has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Ameen takes Nelinho's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Nelinho is in trouble.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nelinho is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ameen is controlling him.

Ameen in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Nelinho tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ameen!
