Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olli Hokkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Severn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pride FC Theme. Ken Severn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Severn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Olli Hokkanen! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severn misses with a body shot.
Hokkanen misses with the combination.
Hokkanen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Severn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Severn tries for a kimura but Hokkanen is defending well. Severn passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hokkanen! Hokkanen tries to buck Severn off but he can't manage it. Severn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hokkanen is looking to escape. Severn goes for an armbar but Hokkanen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hokkanen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hokkanen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Severn's guard. Hokkanen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Severn tries to land a sweep but no joy. Severn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hokkanen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Severn. Severn can't do much from the bottom here. Hokkanen wants to stand but Severn has his arm trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Severn is looking for a sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Severn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hokkanen's waist but Hokkanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Severn off to one side. Severn connects with a single shot there. Hokkanen throws a series of punches but Severn avoids them all with ease. The fighters circling - Severn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Severn scores with a nice right hand.
Hokkanen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Severn. Severn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hokkanen avoids it really well and circles away. Hokkanen takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hokkanen misses with a wild combination.
Severn lands with a nice body punch. Hokkanen looks gassed! Severn shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Severn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Severn throws out a powerful jab. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Severn dodges the punch combination from Hokkanen.
A jab from Severn finds it's way through Hokkanen's defenses. Hokkanen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Olli Hokkanen has been cut. Hokkanen leaves Severn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Severn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hokkanen was covering up waiting for the punch and Severn finishes the takedown easily into guard. Severn has gone for a leg lock! Hokkanen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Severn's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Severn looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Severn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Severn controls Hokkanen momentarily but Hokkanen frees himself. Severn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Severn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Olli Hokkanen's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hokkanen throws a right hand that Severn ducks under and follows up with a left that Severn also avoids with ease. Severn scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Severn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Severn looking to sit in guard and control but Hokkanen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hokkanen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Severn looking to control but Hokkanen passes into half guard.
Severn striking from the bottom. Severn is pressing down on Hokkanen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Severn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hokkanen is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Severn wants to sweep here but Hokkanen controlling him for the moment. Hokkanen tries to stand but Severn is controlling from the bottom. Hokkanen stopping the sweep attempt from Severn. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Severn is on top in guard.
Hokkanen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Severn advances position into side control! Severn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Severn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hokkanen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Severn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hokkanen keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hokkanen is working to avoid the ground and pound but Severn connects with a decent elbow. Severn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hokkanen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Severn.
Hokkanen is not content to let Severn control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Severn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hokkanen, who protects the arm well. Hokkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Severn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Severn is trying to get an arm triangle but Hokkanen is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Severn dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Olli Hokkanen's cut. That's time! Severn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hokkanen misses with a two punch combination.
Hokkanen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Severn. Hokkanen throws a hook to the side of Severn's head but Severn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hokkanen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Severn moves out of range of the strikes. Severn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Hokkanen gets caught flat footed, as Severn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Severn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Severn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hokkanen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Severn sitting in guard, not really doing much. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Severn throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Severn with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Severn passes easily into side control. Nice work. Severn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hokkanen, who protects the arm well. Severn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Severn lands a few punches from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Severn in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Hokkanen is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
