Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnard takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gomi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Barnard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barnard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Gomi wants to get back to his feet but Barnard drags him back down.
Barnard is looking to take a break and control but Gomi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Barnard are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Barnard misses with the ground and pound.
Sloppy strikes there by Barnard.
Gomi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Barnard is controlling him well.

Gomi is being controlled here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Barnard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gomi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gomi misses with a low kick.
Barnard misses with a two punch combination.
Barnard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomi tries to avoid it but Barnard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomi to the ground. Gomi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barnard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomi.
A head kick from Barnard lands but Gomi takes it in his stride.
Barnard looks gassed!
Barnard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gomi swivels and escapes.
Taka Gomi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Barnard.
Gomi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barnard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gomi throws a head kick that misses.
Gomi feints and then cracks Barnard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barnard down.
A left and a right from Gomi both land. Nice combination.
Good leg kick by Gomi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Taka Gomi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gomi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barnard.
Gomi lands a big head kick that sends Barnard to the canvas! Gomi follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taka Gomi!
