The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganns delivers a nice body kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Soprano pushes off an throws an elbow but Ganns leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Ganns tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Soprano smiles and moves away.

No joy there for Soprano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

so Ganns counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Soprano looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ganns wants to control from the top but Soprano keeps moving.

Ganns decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tony Soprano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ganns throws a body kick that misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ganns.
Ganns tries to score with a low kick but Soprano moves his leg out of the way.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ganns fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Soprano looks to clinch
and Ganns counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Soprano clinches but Ganns breaks the clinch
and Ganns counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Matty Ganns will probably get the nod.
That's time! Ganns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Soprano pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Ganns ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ganns no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

and Ganns holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Soprano tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ganns is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Soprano is keeping busy.

Ganns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Soprano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ganns pushes a forearm under Soprano's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Soprano is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
