Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Arnett!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Young thuds his shin into the meat of Arnett's side.

Young closes the distance and clinches.
Arnett blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Young throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Arnett blocks it with crossed arms.
Arnett is working for takedown but Young is calmly controlling the position for now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A frustrated look appears on Young's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Young is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Arnett is defending well for now.
Arnett on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Young wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Young lands a nice knee to the body.
Young tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Arnett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Young gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Arnett looks gassed!

Arnett has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Young clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arnett has his opponent's back but Young is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Arnett.
Young really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Young throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Arnett fails with a takedown attempt.
Ricky Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Arnett.
Young dips to his left and cracks Arnett with an uppercut!

Arnett moves into the clinch.

Arnett is working for takedown but Young is calmly controlling the position for now.

Arnett wants to work for an arm triangle but Young is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Arnett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Young has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Arnett off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Arnett counters with a shoot takedown. Young fights it but they end up in guard.

Arnett tries to free his leg and advance position but Young is retaining full guard.
Young will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Arnett stops Young from standing up.
Arnett postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Arnett controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Arnett.
Young tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Arnett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Young pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Young doesn't manage to clinch there - Arnett circles away.
Arnett blocks a head kick by Young.
Arnett gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Young counters with a head kick.
A combination from Arnett does no damage.
Young is looking to clinch.

Young is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Arnett forces Young back against the cage and clinches.
Young is pressed up against the cage. Arnett has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Young down to the mat. Young avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Young tries to bum rush Arnett with a series of wild strikes but Arnett uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Arnett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Young swivels and escapes.
Ricky Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Arnett.
Arnett closes the distance and clinches up with Young, looking for a takedown. Arnett pushes Young against the cage but Young circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Arnett scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Arnett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Arnett is taking a breather. Young says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Arnett shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Young napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Curtis Arnett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Arnett shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Arnett shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Young as he jumps to the side.

Young is trying to force a seperation but Arnett has the dominant position.

Young breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A left and a right from Young both land. Nice combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Young looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Arnett.
Curtis Arnett has got the better of the ground game so far.
Arnett lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Young down.
Arnett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Young keeps working.
