Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christophe Duggary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Smithers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggary comes to the cage accompanied by Remember The Name Remix. Smithers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - No Leaf Clover. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christophe Duggary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Smithers!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duggary misses with a two punch combination.
Smithers closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Duggary gets full guard.
Smithers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Duggary's head.
Smithers throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Duggary working a defensive guard but Smithers passes into half guard.
Duggary is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smithers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smithers's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duggary is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Smithers knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Smithers for a finish.
Duggary is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Smithers has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Duggary is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Smithers has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Duggary has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Smithers taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Duggary doesn't care though - he's delighted!
