Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Jimenez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimenez is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jimenez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rua as he avoids it easily. Rua stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rua wants it to stay on the feet. Jimenez scores with a one two! Rua had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Bas Rua has been cut. Rua takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Jimenez fails with a takedown attempt. Bas Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alejandro Jimenez. Rua fails in his attempt to clinch. Jimenez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rua.

Jimenez is riding his opponent, not letting Rua buck him off. Rua is trying to get back to his feet but Jimenez has full control of the position and if anything, Rua has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jimenez gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jimenez tries to pull guard but Rua won't allow it.

Jimenez pulls Rua in close to his closed guard and prevents Rua from doing any damage or advancing position. Jimenez keeping moving, preventing Rua from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jimenez is on top in guard.
Rua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rua wants to get back to his feet but Jimenez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jimenez is standing up over Rua. Rua looks to escape but Jimenez dives into side control.
Jimenez controls the position. Jimenez decides to stand back up. Jimenez steps back and let's Rua get back to his feet. Jimenez wants to clinch and Rua counters by clinching up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jimenez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rua gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rua lands a knee to the head.
Jimenez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rua smiles and moves away.
Rua tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jimenez swats him away and circles back towards the center. A combination from Jimenez does no damage. Jimenez looks to clinch and Rua counters by moving into the clinch. Rua tries to land a knee to the head but Jimenez blocks with his arms.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rua creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jimenez's defenses. Jimenez manages to break the clinch.
Jimenez misses with a takedown attempt - Rua sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rua slaps away a takedown attempt from Jimenez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rua forces Jimenez back against the cage and clinches. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jimenez breaks the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bas Rua will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Alejandro Jimenez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rua tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jimenez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rua is looking to clinch but Jimenez is avoiding it.

Bas Rua is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Horrible takedown by Jimenez or perhaps it was just good defense by Rua which made him look bad.

Jimenez swats away the attempt to clinch by Rua. Jimenez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rua pinned against the cage. Rua gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rua tries to clinch but Jimenez is having none of it.

Jimenez is trying to force a seperation but Rua has the dominant position. Rua misses with a knee to the head. Rua unloads a knee to the mid-section.
