Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stout comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold. Wood has chosen You Don't Know Me as his entrance music. Sammy Stout had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sammy Stout! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Wood! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stout shoots for a takedown but Wood saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wood throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stout.
It looks like Sammy Stout has been cut. A head kick misses from Wood. Stout really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stout fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Stout drives through and clinches with Wood against the cage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammy Stout. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wood is trying to drag Stout to the mat but Stout just about manages to keep his footing. Wood looks gassed! Stout tries to bum rush Wood with a series of wild strikes but Wood uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stout scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Wood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stout lands a jab-cross combination. Stout shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wood has momentary wrist control but Stout slips an elbow through the middle. Stout has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wood gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stout to score an easy takedown into full guard. Stout stands up and waves to Wood to follow him. A head kick misses from Wood. Stout throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wood was covering up waiting for the punch and Stout finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wood utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stout wants to control from the top but Wood keeps moving. Wood looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stout gets to his feet. Wood looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wood wants it to stay on the feet. Wood throws a head kick that misses. Wood defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stout. Stout throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wood was covering up waiting for the punch and Stout finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stout throws and elbow that misses. Wood uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stout's guard. Nice move by Wood! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stout is trying to control the position but Wood postures up. Stout throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Wood drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stout manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wood has Stout in his guard. Stout works over Wood with some ground and pound from guard. Stout is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wood has momentary wrist control but Stout slips an elbow through the middle.

Stout working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Stout stays in close to Wood's body and controls the position. Stout stands and steps away. Wood gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wood wants it to stay on the feet. Sammy Stout overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stout in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Wood pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Wood gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stout counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stout. Stout can't get the takedown.

Big Wood has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stout will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
