Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Armored King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Armored King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
King avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Howard.
Howard looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Howard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Howard connects with a nice short shot to King's temple.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Howard on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

King gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Howard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. King knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

King pushes Howard away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Howard gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
King avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Howard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Howard takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No luck for Howard with that takedown attempt.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Howard shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but Howard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Armored King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Howard.

Mike Howard is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
King is staying active underneath Howard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mike Howard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Howard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
