PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cruz Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon comes to the cage accompanied by Joker and the Thief, Wolfmother. Cruz Miles will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dixon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Miles's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Miles is looking to regain half guard here but Dixon keeps moving and retains side control.

Miles is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Miles is stalling here. Dixon is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Miles seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dixon has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Dixon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Miles has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dixon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miles knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Miles is desperately trying to improve his position but Dixon has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dixon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Miles is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Miles and Dixon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Miles is looking for a sweep. Dixon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dixon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Miles throws a lazy head kick

and Dixon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Miles is trying to keep Dixon in close.
Dixon throws a big right hand that misses.
Dixon prevents Miles from getting back to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dixon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
