Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nemesio Magellan!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magellan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Anglestad if he has to take too many more of those.
A big head kick from Magellan and Anglestad is sent sprawling to the canvas!

It looks like Mel Anglestad has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Magellan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Magellan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Oh Anglestad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Magellan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Magellan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Anglestad looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Anglestad looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Anglestad!
Anglestad seems to have got his legs back now.
Magellan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Magellan is looking to regain half guard here but Anglestad keeps moving and retains side control.

Anglestad closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Anglestad tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Magellan misses with a head kick.
Magellan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Magellan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Anglestad finds it's way round the side to connect with Magellan's head.
Magellan tries to land a front kick but Anglestad steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Anglestad chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Magellan can pounce on him.
Anglestad is breathing heavily.

Magellan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Anglestad. That did some damage!

Anglestad takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Magellan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Anglestad. That did some damage!

Magellan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anglestad keeps working.
Magellan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Magellan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nemesio Magellan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mel Anglestad's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Magellan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Anglestad steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Magellan. That one must have hurt.

Magellan lands a nice looking body kick.
Good leg kick by Magellan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nemesio Magellan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Magellan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Magellan.
Magellan thows a body kick. Anglestad tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Magellan keeps Anglestad at a distance using the push kick.
Crunch! Magellan slams his shin into Anglestad's torso.

Magellan lands a brutal head kick. Anglestad looks out on his feet and Magellan throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
