Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort scores with a takedown into Brown's guard.
Belfort is stalling in the full guard.
Brown looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Belfort decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Belfort avoids a punch combination nicely.
Belfort misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Belfort tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Belfort shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brown is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Belfort wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Belfort not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Belfort tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brown throws a nice looking combination but Belfort bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brown feints and as Belfort raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Belfort has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage.
Brown prevents Belfort from getting back to his feet.
Belfort is controlling Brown's posture.
Brown wanted to stand there but Belfort had control of the position.
Brown wants to control from the top but Belfort keeps moving.

Belfort bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brown's guard.
Brown looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brown looks gassed!
Belfort slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Belfort gets to his feet. Brown looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brown shoots and misses
and Belfort counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Belfort is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Belfort drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belfort jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Belfort with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Belfort decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brown, up you get!
Belfort lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Belfort dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Belfort.
Brown is working to avoid the ground and pound but Belfort connects with a decent elbow.
Brown tries to escape but Belfort is in control.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belfort. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Belfort tries to move to mount but Brown blocks the move with his legs.
Belfort scores with punches from side control.
Belfort controls the position.
Brown is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Belfort seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brown for as long as he can get away with.

Belfort is working to tighten is grip on Brown's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Brown has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Belfort is really squeezing tight and eventually Brown passes out! Belfort breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
