Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Javier Alejara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gil Brother (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alejara's entrance music is I´m in Miami Bitch. A fine choice. Brother has chosen Slash & Myless Kennedy ~ Back From Cali as his entrance music. The key to victory for Javier Alejara has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Javier Alejara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gil Brother! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alejara tries to clinch up. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Brother will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. No luck with that takedown attempt from Brother. Alejara gets a clinch. Alejara gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Alejara decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Alejara is looking to clinch. Brother wants to clinch but Alejara slips to the side and Alejara counters by clinching up. Alejara breaks the clinch.
Alejara slips a jab and a cross from Brother.
Brother doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alejara counters with a body kick. Javier Alejara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gil Brother. Alejara tries to clinch and Brother holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Alejara.
Brother looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alejara manages to break the clinch.
Brother circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alejara instigates a clinch. Alejara lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Alejara lands a knee to the head.
Alejara is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alejara lands an elbow just above Brother 's eye. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Brother wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Alejara pulls guard. Alejara kicks Brother off and gets to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Stalling in the clinch from Alejara.
Brother is trying to force a seperation but Alejara has the dominant position. Alejara successfully pulls guard.
Alejara is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Alejara scores with a shoulder strike. Nice body punch from Alejara. Alejara has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brother uses from the top position. Alejara pushes Brother off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alejara gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alejara decides to stand back up. Alejara steps back and let's Brother get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alejara delivers a nice body kick. Alejara throws a head kick that half lands.
Brother tries for a takedown but Alejara circles away easily so Alejara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brother will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Alejara wanted to stand there but Brother had control of the position. Alejara really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Brother had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Alejara is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brother Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Alejara's back instead. Alejara is trying to get back to his feet but Brother has full control of the position and if anything, Alejara has just worked his way into a worse spot. Alejara tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brother landing strikes, looking to finish! Alejara is in a horrible position here. Brother smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Alejara is bucking up trying to escape but Brother cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Brother trying to control but he's not successful this time. Brother has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Alejara wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Brother breaks from Alejara's wrist control and lands an elbow. Brother wants to control the pace but Alejara is squirming around nicely. Brother throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Alejara is trying to stand. A nice elbow there by Brother.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Alejara takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Brother is working for a guillotine from mount but Alejara frees his head quite easily.
Alejara wants to control but Brother is having none of it. Alejara is squirming around, avoiding Brother's attempts to control the action. Alejara is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Brother putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brother thowing shots but they're missing. Brother punishing his opponent with strikes. Brother thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Javier Alejara dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Alejara delivers a nice body kick. Alejara is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Alejara looks to clinch and Brother counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brother. Brother stands up over Alejara, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Brother is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Alejara is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Alejara has escaped and now he's on top! Alejara stands up and waves to Brother to follow him. Alejara darts in trying to clinch and Brother counters with a shoot takedown. Alejara fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alejara looking for subs off his back but Brother has passed one foot through into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brother drops an elbow to the side of Alejara's head. Alejara is trying to maintain the position but Brother is very close to passing his half guard. Brother is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alejara sees it coming and defends easily. Brother prevents Alejara from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brother sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Alejara defending well though. Brother scoring with strikes to the body and head.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Alejara closes the distance and clinches. Alejara tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A short left from Alejara. Alejara is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Alejara with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. A battle for position here, against the cage. Alejara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brother pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alejara bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Brother gets back to half guard. Brother is trying to get back to full guard. Brother makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brother. Brother has a closed guard, preventing Alejara from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brother is trying to keep Alejara in close.
Alejara trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brother's guard. Brother bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alejara's guard. Alejara pushes Brother off and scrambles back to his feet.
Brother gets a takedown into half guard. Alejara is trying to stand.
Brother lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brother looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ground and pound from Brother. Brother stops Alejara from getting back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alejara is pressing down on Brother's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Brother wants to control from the top but Alejara keeps moving. Brother with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gil Brother showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Brother clinches but Alejara breaks the clinch and Alejara counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brother is lucky that one didn't land flush. Alejara darts in trying to clinch and Brother counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Brother can't get the takedown.
Alejara creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brother's defenses. Brother is looking to break free of the clinch but Alejara has double underhooks. Brother takes a knee right on the jaw!
Alejara is working Brother over against the cage. Alejara creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alejara misses with a knee strike.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brother is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Alejara pulls him back up using the underhooks. Alejara drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brother gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Alejara presses Brother against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alejara looking to stall.
Alejara goes for a takedown attempt but Brother pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brother moves into the clinch successfully.
Nice body punch from Alejara. Alejara landing knees to the body.
Alejara is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Brother pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Javier Alejara. That's going to take a lot out of him. A battle for position here, against the cage. Alejara breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Alejara fails to land the takedown. Brother shoots in and drives through. Alejara sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Alejara has his takedown stuffed and Brother counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brother. Brother blocks a body shot from Alejara. Alejara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alejara looks to land a right hand but Brother moved out of range. Brother doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alejara counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brother! Brother swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Brother wants to control but Alejara is having none of it. Javier Alejara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brother keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Alejara tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Alejara stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brother forces Alejara back against the cage and clinches. Alejara jumps guard.
Brother wants to control from the top but Alejara keeps moving. Brother missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brother makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Alejara pushes Brother off and scrambles back to his feet.
Alejara moves into range and clinches up with Brother. Alejara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brother pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brother gets the takedown into side control. Alejara parries the strikes from Brother easily there. Brother is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Alejara to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brother decides to stand up, so the ref orders Alejara to his feet. Alejara wants to clinch but Brother slips to the side and Brother counters by moving into the clinch. Alejara gets underhooks to prevent Brother's takedown attempt.
Brother takes an elbow to the forehead. Alejara has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Alejara working Brother over with knees to the body. Alejara tries to land a knee to the head but Brother blocks with his arms.
Alejara misses with a knee strike.
Alejara lands a good knee to the midsection. Brother won't want to take too many of those. Alejara is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Alejara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brother pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brother gets in close and instigates a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Javier Alejara. Well Alejara has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
