Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dawkins looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Dawkins drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dawkins advances to half guard.
Dawkins wants to stand up but Gilbert is controlling the position.
Dawkins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gilbert does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gilbert wants to get back to full guard.
Dawkins prevents Gilbert from standing back up.
Dawkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gilbert keeps working.
Dawkins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gilbert doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dawkins.
Dawkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gilbert on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dawkins feints and as Gilbert raises his hands in defense, Dawkins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gilbert is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gilbert is looking for a triangle but Dawkins pushes his legs off easily.
Gilbert is looking to sinch up a triangle. Dawkins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gilbert's body to avoid the submission. Gilbert has instead reached around Dawkins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gilbert arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
