Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hammer Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damir Zolota!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Time wants to clinch up but Zolota keeps it at a distance.
Time misses with a double jab.
Time shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zolota pinned against the cage. Zolota gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zolota takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Danga de danga de dang - Time scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Damir Zolota has been cut.
Time shoots in for a double leg but Zolota sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hammer Time. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No luck for Zolota with that takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Zolota. No joy for Time on that attempt.
Zolota swats away the attempt to clinch by Time.

Time instigates a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zolota trying to stall but Time improves his position.
Time changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Zolota fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Time clinches up with Zolota and pushes him back against the cage.

Time breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Time shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zolota but Zolota pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Zolota shoots in but no luck this time.
Time is breathing heavily.

Zolota closes the distance and clinches.
Zolota fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Time tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zolota smiles and moves away.
Zolota moves out of range of the body kick from Time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zolota fails with a takedown attempt.
Time avoids the head kick by Zolota.

Zolota shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Time's guard.
Time keeping moving, preventing Zolota from controlling successfully.
Zolota works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Zolota takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Zolota is looking to advance position but Time won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Zolota seems content to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Time is looking to improve his position.
Zolota thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Time's head.

Zolota is trying to work for a kimura but Time is defending well.
Time moves into full guard.

Zolota decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Time, up you get!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Time throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zolota's waist but Zolota gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Time off to one side.
Time shoots in and drives through. Zolota sprawls well.

Time gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Time striking off his back but it's not causing Zolota any problems.
Zolota wants to control from the top but Time keeps moving.
Zolota stopping the sweep attempt from Time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Time working a defensive guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hammer Time will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Damir Zolota's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Zolota darts in and clinches Time up against the cage.
Time stalling in the clinch but Zolota improves position.

Zolota has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Time regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zolota preventing the sweep.
Zolota throwing strikes but missing.
Zolota controls from within his opponent's guard.
Zolota trying to control the position from guard on top but Time is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Zolota pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Time is keeping the position for now.
Zolota trying to control but Time is working from the bottom.
Zolota content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Time on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Time tries to get out of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Time scores a takedown into full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zolota is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Zolota avoids a series of strikes thrown by Time.
Zolota wants to control but Time is having none of it.
Zolota wants to try and get back to his feet.
Time wants to control but instead Zolota manages to regain half guard.

Time is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zolota regains full guard. Nicely done.
Time is fighting to break Zolota's control of his arms but Zolota is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Zolota is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Time knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zolota on the ground.

Zolota is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Time rolls with it to try and escape but Zolota cranks on the arm and Time is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
