Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Georges Piere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Noel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Noel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Piere! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Noel! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noel has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Piere. Piere tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Noel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Noel cracks Piere with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Piere tries to clinch there but Noel circles away.
Piere tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Piere shoots for a takedown but Noel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Piere tries to close the distance and clinch up but Noel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Piere shoots in for a takedown but Noel shows good takedown defense. Georges Piere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Piere moves in looking to clinch but Noel pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piere doesn't manage to clinch there - Noel circles away.
Piere tries to clinch but Noel is having none of it. Piere fails in his attempt to clinch. Piere tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Noel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Piere is looking to clinch but Noel is avoiding it.
Noel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Piere fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georges Piere. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Piere fails with the takedown. Piere shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Noel but Noel pushes him off and we're back to square one. A combination from Noel does no damage. Jay Noel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Piere shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Noel as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Piere is looking to clinch but Noel is avoiding it.
Noel looks to land a combination but Piere avoids it well. Piere is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Noel swats away the attempt to clinch by Piere.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Piere dodges the punch combination from Noel.
Piere is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Noel as Piere shoots in. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Noel lands a lovely overhand right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Georges Piere will probably get the nod. That's time! Piere's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Piere wants to clinch. Piere feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Noel controlling Piere's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noel keeping moving, preventing Piere from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Noel can do anything to dispel that myth. Piere trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Noel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Piere stops Noel from standing up. Noel is working an open guard so Piere takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Piere tries to clinch there but Noel circles away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Noel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Georges Piere dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Piere tries to clinch but Noel is having none of it. Piere tries to close the distance and clinch but Noel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Piere tries to close the distance and clinch up but Noel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Noel stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Piere looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Piere tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Noel tries to bum rush Piere with a series of wild strikes but Piere uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Noel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Noel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Piere. Noel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Piere. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georges Piere. That's going to take a lot out of him. Noel keeps the fight on the outside. Piere looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Piere is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noel wants to stand and escape but Piere is having none of it. Piere works over Noel with some ground and pound from guard. Georges Piere is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Piere stands up and waves to Noel to follow him. Piere moves in looking to clinch but Noel pushes him off. Piere fails with an attempt to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Georges Piere showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Piere, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
