Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scoop Riggleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Weppin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weppin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Riggleman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Riggleman lands with a right hand.
Weppin misses with a series of wild punches.

Riggleman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Weppin did well to prevent Riggleman getting side control.

Riggleman wants to control but Weppin is keeping him busy.
Riggleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Weppin pushes Riggleman off and gets back to his feet.
Weppin tries to clinch up but Riggleman circles away and keeps his distance.
Riggleman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Weppin.
Riggleman scores with a jab to the jaw.
Riggleman fails with a takedown attempt.
Riggleman throws a right and a left that both miss.

Riggleman closes the distance and clinches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Weppin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Weppin lands with a left to the head.

Riggleman manages to break the clinch.
Riggleman digs a good hook to Weppin's body.
Riggleman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riggleman lands with a nice combination. Weppin backs away looking to recover.
Weppin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Riggleman connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

and Riggleman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Weppin is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Riggleman lands a takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Weppin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Weppin pushes Riggleman off and scrambles back to his feet.
Weppin looks gassed!
Riggleman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Weppin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Weppin wants it to stay on the feet.
Weppin ducks right into an uppercut from Riggleman.
Weppin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Riggleman scores with the left hand. Weppin knows he should have avoided that one.

and Riggleman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Weppin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Riggleman works Weppin's body with a nice hook.

Riggleman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Riggleman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Weppin's hands.

Riggleman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Weppin did well to prevent Riggleman getting side control.

Riggleman seems to be working for a kimura but Weppin defends the submission attempt.
Riggleman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Weppin on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riggleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Riggleman has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like Aaron Weppin has been cut.
Weppin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Riggleman is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Riggleman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Riggleman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Riggleman is landing with some decent strikes but Weppin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
