Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tatsuyo Hayate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Cromartie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayate stuffs the takedown attempt from Cromartie. Cromartie gets slowly back to his feet.
Cromartie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hayate.
Cromartie moves into the clinch.
Hayate tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cromartie smiles and moves away.
Hayate stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayate throws the left hand but Cromartie avoids the punch easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hayate fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cromartie sprawls well initially but Hayate persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hayate is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hayate trying to mount his opponent but Cromartie defends it.
Hayate content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Hayate is nestled in close to Cromartie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Cromartie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hayate scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hayate prevents Cromartie from improving his position.
Cromartie is pressing down on Hayate's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hayate throwing strikes but missing.
Hayate looking to sit in guard and control but Cromartie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cromartie wants to control from the top but Hayate keeps moving.
Hayate is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cromartie tries to free his leg and advance position but Hayate is retaining full guard.
Cromartie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hayate is pulling down on Cromartie's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hayate has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cromartie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hayate is on top in guard.

Cromartie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hayate trying to control the position from guard on top but Cromartie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cromartie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hayate gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hayate postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cromartie keeping moving, preventing Hayate from controlling successfully.
Cromartie wants to sweep here but Hayate controlling him for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cromartie has momentary wrist control but Hayate slips an elbow through the middle.
Cromartie throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hayate uses it to pass to side control.
Cromartie is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hayate connects with a decent elbow.
Cromartie is trying to control Hayate's posture but Hayate avoids it.
Cromartie sneaks back into half guard.
Cromartie wants to sweep but Hayate has passed to side control!
Hayate in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Cromartie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Cromartie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Hayate's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hayate throws a jab when Cromartie was well out of range.
Hayate looks to land a right hand but Cromartie moved out of range.
Hayate jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hayate fails with the takedown
and Cromartie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hayate!
Hayate tries to hold on but Cromartie pushes him away.
Cromartie wants to control but instead Hayate manages to regain half guard.

Cromartie tries to pass to full mount but Hayate defends it.
Hayate wants to control but Cromartie is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cromartie is pressing down on Hayate's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hayate is holding on for now.
Hayate tries to roll over but Cromartie keeps him under control.
Hayate looking for submissions off his back.
Hayate is in trouble now - Cromartie has advanced to mount!
Cromartie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hayate is now in Cromartie's guard. A big mistake from Cromartie there, giving up the dominant position!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hayate passes Cromartie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cromartie tries to get to full guard but Hayate has control of the leg.
Hayate working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Cromartie tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hayate has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Hayate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cromartie gets back to half guard.
Cromartie has a hand on Hayate's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hayate takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Cromartie is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hayate lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cromartie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cromartie is breathing heavily.
Hayate fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cromartie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Hayate.
Hayate lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Hayate is landing with some decent strikes but Cromartie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Cromartie is rocked!
Hayate postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cromartie in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cromartie to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tatsuyo Hayate!
