PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Seaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beach comes to the cage accompanied by Sky Is The Limit-Weezy. Seaver comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Overkill - The Goal Is Your Soal kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bill Beach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Seaver!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seaver ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Beach throws a shot from downtown. Seaver moves away and avoids it.
Seaver fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bill Beach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Seaver looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Beach!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Seaver is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Beach can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Seaver controlling the pace for now.
Seaver won't let Beach get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Seaver can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beach is looking to escape.

Seaver is going olschool here, as he tries to force Beach to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beach shrugs it off.

Seaver can't control as he wanted to and Beach manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Seaver missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Seaver looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Seaver is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Seaver working for a guillotine from mount but Beach is in no mood to give up.
Beach on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Beach tries to get out of the position.
Beach keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Seaver is going olschool here, as he tries to force Beach to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beach shrugs it off.

Seaver is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Beach has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Seaver content just to control the position here.
Seaver throwing strikes here but Beach is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Seaver is going olschool here, as he tries to force Beach to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beach shrugs it off.
Beach is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Beach is breathing heavily.

Seaver is working for a guillotine from mount but Beach frees his head quite easily.
Seaver throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Beach because Seaver loaded up on that one.
The referee warns Beach that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Seaver looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Seaver working for a guillotine from mount but Beach is in no mood to give up.
Beach is trying desperately to improve position.
Seaver putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Seaver is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Beach can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Beach really wants to buck Seaver off and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Seaver dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Seaver closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Beach did well to prevent Seaver getting side control.
Seaver trying to control the action but Beach is working from the bottom.

Seaver is trying for a kimura here. Beach looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Seaver wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Seaver!
