PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Draft Beer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Draft Beer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob White!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beer tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beer to the ground. Beer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Bob White has been cut.
Beer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but White was well out of range. Poor timing from Beer.
White takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


White is rocked!
Draft Beer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beer leaves White with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Beer misses with a looping right.
Beer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Beer gets a clinch.
Beer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White slips under a jab from Beer.
A swing and a miss from Beer.
Beer catches White with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
White is still on wobbly legs! Can Beer finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
White seems to have recovered his senses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beer wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

White thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Beer defending against the ground and pound.
Beer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but White is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
White tries to score with some ground and pound. Beer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
White throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
White shoots in looking for a takedown. Beer tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Draft Beer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob White.
Beer moves in looking to clinch but White pushes him off.
White uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beer.
White uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beer.
Draft Beer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Beer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Beer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by White.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Beer with a nice cross.
White shoots in for a double leg but Beer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Beer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Beer is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Beer misses the jab.

Beer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends White sprawling to the canvas! White rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Beer finish him?!
White steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Beer.
White tries to get into range but Beer steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops White! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Beer scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Draft Beer!
