The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy fails to land the takedown.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McCarthy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Angus Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vance McCarthy.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but McCarthy ducks down to avoid it.

Jones jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

McCarthy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones cracks McCarthy with an open hand slap.
McCarthy shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.

McCarthy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCarthy moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
McCarthy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Vance McCarthy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCarthy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McCarthy gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by McCarthy or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.

Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Jones cracks McCarthy with a right hand to the side of the head.
McCarthy fails with a takedown attempt.
Jones connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent McCarthy tumbling to the canvas! Jones pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! McCarthy was done - good stoppage!
