Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emi M (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Spicey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
M avoids the head kick by Spicey.
No luck for M with that takedown attempt.
M shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spicey as he avoids it easily.
M shoots in for a double leg but Spicey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emi M. That's going to take a lot out of him.
M shoots for a takedown but Spicey saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

M really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Spicey tries to get back to half guard but can't.

M changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Spicey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
M content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Spicey is looking to control M's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Spicey avoid being mounted?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

M with a poor takedown
and Spicey counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in M's guard now.
M throws his legs up looking for a submission but Spicey uses it to pass to side control.

Spicey decides to take the fight back to the feet.
M tries to close the distance and clinch but Spicey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
M darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Spicey tries to kick M off but M keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Spicey wants to control but M is keeping busy.

M is looking to advance position but Spicey won't allow it.
Spicey wants to get back to his feet.
M performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Tony Spicey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
M tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Spicey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
M regains full guard. Nicely done.
Spicey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
M has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Spicey off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
M looks to clinch
and Spicey counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
M is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tony Spicey has got the better of the ground game so far.
M is working hard here to advance position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Spicey stands up from half guard.

M closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spicey to the mat! Spicey manages to get full guard.
M wants to control from the top but Spicey keeps moving.
M pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spicey is keeping the position for now.
M sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Spicey's guard.

Spicey is trying to stand back up but M is controlling him
M is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Spicey has managed to free his arm - good work.
M trying to mount his opponent but Spicey defends it.
Emi M has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

M prevents Spicey from improving his position.
M looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
M works his way into full mount!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Tony Spicey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
M fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Well Spicey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
