Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julien Denis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bridges gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Denis to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Denis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Denis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
bridges is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
bridges tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

bridges had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Denis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. bridges Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Denis's back instead.

Denis is trying to break free.
bridges somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Denis is trapped and bridges is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Denis rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
bridges is trying to work for a kimura but Denis is defending well.
Denis wants to control but bridges is keeping busy.

Denis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of bridges's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take bridges's back!

bridges is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Denis gets his way!

Denis is trying hard to land a takedown here. bridges sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Denis gets caught flat footed, as bridges shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Denis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed bridges's guard.

bridges has one foot on Denis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
bridges shoots in but Denis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
bridges tries a head kick but it misses.
Denis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming bridges to the mat! bridges manages to get full guard.
bridges wants to improve his position but instead Denis has moved into half guard.
Denis is trying to control. bridges wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

bridges tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Denis manages to move to mount!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Denis manages to capitalize on a mistake by bridges to take his back!

That's time! Denis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
bridges shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Denis's guard.
Denis wants to stand up but bridges is controlling him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

bridges avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
bridges got a little sloppy there for a moment and Denis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, bridges has managed to get both his arms back between Denis's legs - danger averted.

Julien Denis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Denis is looking for a triangle here but bridges uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Denis tries to buck bridges off but bridges is having none of it.

bridges has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Denis fails with the takedown
and bridges counters with a stiff right hand.
chris bridges seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
