Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryley Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Lucius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryley Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dexter Lucius!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer fails with a takedown attempt.
Lucius throws a head kick but Spencer moves out of range.
Lucius darts in and clinches Spencer up against the cage.
Spencer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lucius walks away with a smile on his face. Spencer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lucius feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Spencer has Lucius pulled in close to control his posture.
Lucius trying to control but Spencer is working from the bottom.
Lucius wants to get up but he can't break Spencer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Lucius wants to control from the top but Spencer keeps moving.
Lucius working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Spencer throws a right and a left that Lucius avoids nicely.
Lucius tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spencer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Some wild striking there from Spencer.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Spencer throws a series of punches but Lucius moves out of range.
Spencer feints and as Lucius raises his hands in defense, Spencer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lucius looking for a sweep. Not yet Lucius, not yet.
Spencer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lucius wants to sweep here but Spencer controlling him for the moment.
Spencer content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucius wants to stand up but Spencer is controlling him.

Lucius wants to control but Spencer passes easily into half guard.
Spencer keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Spencer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lucius is looking to control Spencer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lucius avoid being mounted?
Spencer slips a nice elbow through Lucius's hands, connecting with Lucius's forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lucius can do anything to dispel that myth.
Spencer wants to free his trapped foot but Lucius is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, if Spencer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lucius is in trouble now - Spencer has advanced to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Spencer lands a nice shot to the body.
Lucius closes the distance and clinches up with Spencer, looking for a takedown. Lucius pushes Spencer against the cage but Spencer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ryley Spencer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Spencer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lucius looks to land a combination but Spencer avoids it well.
Lucius thows a body kick. Spencer tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Spencer tries to bum rush Lucius with a series of wild strikes but Lucius uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lucius pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lucius clinches up with Spencer and pushes him back against the cage.
Spencer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lucius just stands there and leans against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Lucius's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lucius drops down looking for an ankle pick but Spencer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Spencer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lucius is breathing heavily.
Spencer misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spencer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lucius tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Spencer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Spencer content just to control the position here.
Spencer is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Spencer extends the arm and Lucius is forced to tap!
