The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dourado moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A telegraphed right hand from Fedorinsky misses the target.

Dourado moves into the clinch.
Fedorinsky tries to break free but Dourado pushes him back against the cage.
Dourado has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fedorinsky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dourado shoots in looking for a takedown. Fedorinsky tries to sprawl out of it but Dourado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fedorinsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Marcelo Dourado just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fedorinsky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dourado circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dourado shoots in for a takedown but Fedorinsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vlatov Fedorinsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dourado moves out of range as Fedorinsky strikes.
Dourado is looking to clinch but Fedorinsky is avoiding it.

Dourado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dourado lands in his opponent's guard.
Fedorinsky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dourado on the ground.

Dourado feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dourado slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Fedorinsky.
Dourado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fedorinsky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dourado misses with a takedown attempt - Fedorinsky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fedorinsky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dourado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dourado remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
