Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlatov Fedorinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Dourado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dourado is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Man in the Box - Alice in Chains. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vlatov Fedorinsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Dourado! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dourado moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A telegraphed right hand from Fedorinsky misses the target. Dourado moves into the clinch. Fedorinsky tries to break free but Dourado pushes him back against the cage. Dourado has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fedorinsky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Fedorinsky wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dourado looking for a takedown. Fedorinsky working hard to break the clinch. Dourado looking for a takedown. Vlatov Fedorinsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Dourado. Fedorinsky wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fedorinsky could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Fedorinsky tries to break the clinch but Dourado is controlling the position. Fedorinsky wants to break free but Dourado has control.
Fedorinsky is trying to force a seperation but Dourado has the dominant position. Fedorinsky is pressed up against the cage. Dourado has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fedorinsky down to the mat. Fedorinsky avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dourado shoots in looking for a takedown. Fedorinsky tries to sprawl out of it but Dourado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fedorinsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fedorinsky connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Dourado fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fedorinsky lands a jab to the nose. Fedorinsky thuds his right hand into Dourado's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dourado tries to clinch there but Fedorinsky circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fedorinsky. Fedorinsky missing with a left hand there. Dourado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dourado looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Fedorinsky is breathing heavily. Dourado prevents Fedorinsky from standing back up.
Dourado trying to control the action but Fedorinsky is working from the bottom. Fedorinsky wants to improve his position but Dourado is controlling well.
Fedorinsky is looking to escape. Dourado drops an elbow to the side of Fedorinsky's head. Dourado lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dourado is trying to control. Fedorinsky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dourado is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Dourado blocks Fedorinsky's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Fedorinsky is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Dourado looking to control and managing it successfully. Let's hope that Dourado has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dourado trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dourado lands with some strikes. Fedorinsky is squirming around, avoiding Dourado's attempts to control the action. Fedorinsky keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dourado controlling his opponent. Fedorinsky swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Dourado controlling from the full mount.
Despite being in the dominant position, Marcelo Dourado just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fedorinsky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dourado circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dourado shoots in for a takedown but Fedorinsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Vlatov Fedorinsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dourado moves out of range as Fedorinsky strikes. Dourado is looking to clinch but Fedorinsky is avoiding it.
Dourado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dourado lands in his opponent's guard. Fedorinsky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dourado on the ground. Dourado gets to his feet. Fedorinsky looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Dourado feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dourado slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Fedorinsky. Dourado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fedorinsky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dourado is working for a submission of some sort.

Dourado misses with a takedown attempt - Fedorinsky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fedorinsky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dourado moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dourado throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dourado bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dourado trying to control the position but Fedorinsky is working away. Fedorinsky is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dourado is controlling him well. Fedorinsky is being controlled here. Dourado creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fedorinsky is trying to buck Dourado off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dourado remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Fedorinsky is trying to buck Dourado off. Dourado landing a few strikes. Fedorinsky being controlled for a moment. Fedorinsky is not content to let Dourado control the position. Dourado has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fedorinsky stuffs the takedown attempt from Dourado. Dourado gets slowly back to his feet. Dourado drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fedorinsky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fedorinsky tries to get out of the position. Fedorinsky throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fedorinsky throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Dourado passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Dourado decides to stand and escape the position. A combination from Fedorinsky does no damage. Dourado has a takedown stuffed. Vlatov Fedorinsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Dourado. Fedorinsky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dourado. Dourado slips under a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedorinsky misses with a looping left. Dourado throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fedorinsky's head. Dourado closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fedorinsky tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Dourado has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Fedorinsky is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dourado yanks on the arm and Fedorinsky is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dourado.
