Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steven Morrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Michael Batista!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrano throws a series of punches but Batista avoids them all with ease.

Morrano shoots in looking for a takedown. Batista tries to sprawl out of it but Morrano keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Batista manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Morrano tries to close the distance and clinch but Batista swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Batista does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Morrano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Morrano shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Batista but Batista pushes him off and we're back to square one.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Morrano. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

David Michael Batista comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Batista has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
