Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Marks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Neil!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neil throws a combination. Marks tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Marks avoids the body shot from Neil.
Neil connects with a crisp jab.
Marks fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Marks on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Neil. Neil obviously looking to wear him down.
Neil will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Neil cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Neil scores with a jab to the body.
Neil keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Marks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Neil did well to prevent Marks getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neil throws a push kick but Marks slaps the foot to one side.

Marks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Marks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Marks shoots in for a takedown but Neil shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Neil lands a jab to the nose.
Neil throws a series of punches but Marks avoids them all with ease.
Neil cracks Marks with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Marks takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Neil throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Neil jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Neil ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

The fighters circling - Neil throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Marks looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marks.
Neil lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Neil.
Tim Marks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Neil is breathing heavily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Neil, as that shot connected.
Marks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Marks avoids a punch combination nicely.

Neil is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Neil is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marks.

Marks shoots in and bounces Neil off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Marks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Marks goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Neil rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Marks's guard! Nice work there by Neil!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marks is trying to control the position but Neil postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neil throwing strikes but missing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Neil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Neil throws a leg kick that misses.

Marks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Neil sprawls well initially but Marks persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neil is staying active underneath Marks, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Neil desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Marks is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neil manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Marks manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marks is on top in guard.
Marks throws a big right hand that misses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Marks prevents Neil from getting back to his feet.
Marks postures up in Neil's guard and throws a big left but Neil blocks it.
Marks wants to pass the guard but Neil is keeping the position.
Neil working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marks.
Marks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Marks wants to control from the top but Neil keeps moving.
Marks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Neil clinches.
Neil lands a damaging elbow.
Neil lands a left hand that snaps the head of Marks backwards.
Neil lands a right hand that snaps the head of Marks backwards.

Neil keeps control of Marks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Marks changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Neil fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Neil stalks Marks and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marks's face. Marks staggers backwards, shaken.

Neil fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Neil throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Neil throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marks.
Neil lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Neil is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Marks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Neil avoids it really well and circles away.

Tyson Neil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Neil winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
