Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tito Coleman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Erik Williams!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williams changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Williams misses with a wild body shot.
Coleman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Williams takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Coleman throws an overhand right that lands on Williams's shoulder, as Williams tries to avoid the shot.
Williams walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Coleman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Coleman lands with a hook. Williams tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Williams slips a straight right by Coleman.
Coleman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Coleman throws a sloppy body shot
and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
Coleman swings for the body but Williams moves out of range.
Coleman misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Williams misses the target.
Coleman tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily
and Williams counters with an outside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman slips under a jab.
Coleman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Coleman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Williams darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Coleman blocks a low kick nicely.
Coleman misses with a hook to the body
and Williams counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Coleman off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Williams follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Coleman was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Erik Williams!
