Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaakko Teppo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mir's choice of entrance music: Sub-Mission. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teppo swinging wilding here.
Mir darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mir gets a takedown into half guard.
Teppo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Teppo tries to get out of the position.
Mir with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Mir throwing shots but Teppo is blocking nicely.

Mir is nestled in close to Teppo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mir seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Mir is doing well to control the position and prevent Teppo from advancing to side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Teppo is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Mir is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Teppo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Teppo's back!

Teppo is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mir gets his way!

The referee asks Mir politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mir prefers to stall for the moment though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mir, right into the meat.
Mir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Teppo is bucking up trying to escape but Mir cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Cain Mir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mir shoots in but no luck this time.

Mir throws a head kick but Teppo moves out of range.
Mir ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mir will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mir is taking a breather. Teppo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Teppo is staying active underneath Mir, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cain Mir is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Cain Mir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mir has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
