The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. smalls darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
smalls lands with a nice combination. Benn backs away looking to recover.
Benn drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Benn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Benn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

smalls looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

smalls fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Benn on the side of the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
smalls takes the fight into the clinch.
Benn takes an elbow to the temple.
smalls lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Benn shoots for a double leg takedown but smalls sprawls well. He's pushed Benn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
