The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smash closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Smash getting side control.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Smash is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Smash drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smash jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Smash has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones looking for a guillotine here but Smash defends easily.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smash defends it easily.
Smash postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Smash is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.
Smash lands a couple of elbows.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jones looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Smash is defending well. Jones quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Smash has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jones celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
