Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Junior Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and A Sharfstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharfstein has chosen Put it in your mouth as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hulk Junior Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, A Sharfstein!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharfstein throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sharfstein bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Sharfstein wants to clinch.
Sharfstein throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sharfstein lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sharfstein.
Sharfstein throws a right and a left that Hogan avoids nicely.
Sharfstein looks to land a combination but Hogan avoids it well.
Sharfstein misses with a few strikes there.

Hogan shoots in for a takedown but Sharfstein shows good takedown defense.

Sharfstein tries to keep at a distance but Hogan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hogan throws an elbow that misses.
Sharfstein wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Sharfstein wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hogan breaks from the clinch.
Sharfstein will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A Sharfstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sharfstein throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Hogan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hogan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sharfstein does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sharfstein is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hogan pulls his head out easily.

Sharfstein is looking to stand back up but Hogan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sharfstein.
Sharfstein looks gassed!
Sharfstein is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hogan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hogan lands a nice short elbow.
Hogan is looking to take a break and control but Sharfstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sharfstein regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sharfstein avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hogan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hogan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sharfstein's head.

Sharfstein has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hogan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sharfstein.
Hogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hogan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sharfstein to see if he's OK.

That was a close round but I would say that Hulk Junior Hogan will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sharfstein dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hogan. That did some damage!
Sharfstein wants to clinch.

Sharfstein tries to land a front kick but Hogan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hogan swats away the attempt to clinch by Sharfstein.
Hogan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sharfstein shoots in for a takedown but Hogan shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from Sharfstein misses.
Both fighters circling a little - Sharfstein finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hogan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hogan stops Sharfstein from standing up.

Hogan chips away with some ground and pound.

Sharfstein looking for a guillotine here but Hogan defends easily.

Sharfstein throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hogan uses it to pass to side control.

Sharfstein gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sharfstein is trying to stand.
Hogan is keen to just control but Sharfstein is a slippery customer.
Hogan is just content to waste time from the top position. Sharfstein takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hogan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sharfstein manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hogan has Sharfstein in his guard.
Sharfstein would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hulk Junior Hogan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Sharfstein circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hogan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hogan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Hulk Junior Hogan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sharfstein is squirming around, avoiding Hogan's attempts to control the action.

Sharfstein grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Hogan struggling to keep hold of the position.
Sharfstein can't escape the position.
Sharfstein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sharfstein holding both Hogan 's hands and preventing any damage.
Sharfstein is covering up but some of the strikes from Hogan are getting through and doing damage.
Hogan controls the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sharfstein turns into Hogan and is now in his guard.
Hogan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sharfstein passes into side control.
Hogan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hogan wants to sweep but Sharfstein has passed to side control!

Hogan can't do much from the bottom here.

Sharfstein is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hogan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hogan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Sharfstein wants to work for an arm triangle but Hogan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hogan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sharfstein is working away from the top position though.
Sharfstein tries to pass to full mount but Hogan defends it.
Hogan regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hogan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A Sharfstein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hogan is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hulk Junior Hogan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hogan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
