Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skinback closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Skinback stands up and we're back to a striking position. Ground gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Skinback counters by clinching up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Skinback lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ground looking for a takedown. Ground has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Skinback is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Paul Skinback has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pounding Ground. Skinback stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ground. Ground has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Skinback is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A short right from Skinback on the inside. Skinback has Ground pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Skinback pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ground tumbling to the mat - Skinback dives into Ground's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Skinback loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Skinback wants to control from the top but Ground keeps moving. Ground wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Skinback is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ground is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Skinback postures up in Ground's guard and throws a big left but Ground blocks it. Skinback stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ground swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Skinback throws a series of strikes that have Ground backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ground fails with the takedown and Skinback counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fight moves into the clinch position. Skinback fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Skinback lands an uppercut. Skinback tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ground's elbow. Skinback jumps into guard, dragging Ground to the mat.
Skinback has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ground would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ground passes Skinback's left leg - he's now in half guard. Skinback is looking to control Ground's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Skinback avoid being mounted? Ground seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
It looks like Paul Skinback has been cut. Skinback is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ground missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Skinback blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ground. Skinback blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ground. Ground not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ground drops an elbow to the side of Skinback's head. Skinback trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ground lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Paul Skinback's cut is getting worse. Skinback is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ground scores with a couple of nice shots.
Jeez, Paul Skinback's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Skinback's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
