Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Chisholm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waranhk Nsembo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nsembo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. ChessBoxin' kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Waranhk Nsembo! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chisholm tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Chisholm scores with a decent looking hook. Chisholm lands with a nice combination. Nsembo backs away looking to recover. Nsembo stuffs the takedown. Chisholm has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nsembo finds it's way round the side to connect with Chisholm's head. Chisholm shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chisholm wants to control but Nsembo is keeping him busy. Chisholm misses with a head shot. Nsembo uses the momentum to regain guard. Nsembo wants to stand but Chisholm is controlling the position. Nsembo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nsembo keeping moving, preventing Chisholm from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chisholm slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nsembo swats away the attempt to clinch by Chisholm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Danga de danga de dang - Chisholm scores with a four punch combination! Nsembo throws a head kick but Chisholm moves out of range.

Chisholm works over Nsembo's head and body with a nice combination. Chisholm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chisholm lands in his opponent's guard. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Nsembo in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Chisholm tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nsembo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chisholm somewhat. Nsembo checks the leg kick nicely there.

Chisholm closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nsembo keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

and Nsembo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nsembo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Chisholm counters with a left and a right that stings Nsembo. Chisholm scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Chisholm postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nsembo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chisholm, into his guard. Chisholm is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chisholm throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chisholm had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nsembo defends it easily. Chisholm is striking but Nsembo is not phased and passes to half guard.

Chisholm has a hand on Nsembo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Nsembo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Chisholm is desperately trying to improve his position but Nsembo has a good base and remains in mount. Chisholm is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nsembo with shots to the head and body - Chisholm looks very uncomfortable down there. Chisholm wants to hold on but Nsembo pushes him away. Chisholm manages to regain half guard. Good work. Chisholm looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chisholm strikes from the bottom but Nsembo uses the opportunity to move to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Chisholm. Well Chisholm has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
