Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jayj Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce James is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez scoring well with a low kick there.
Rodriguez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. James is trying to defend but Rodriguez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rodriguez is looking to clinch.
Rodriguez shoots in looking for a takedown. James tries to sprawl out of it but Rodriguez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Rodriguez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
James tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
