Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Linus Hallenius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Wesley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesley has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! James Wesley will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Wesley!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hallenius.
Wesley looks gassed!

Hallenius shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hallenius is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hallenius wants to stand up but Wesley is controlling the position.

Hallenius is looking to take a break and control but Wesley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hallenius tries to pass to full mount but Wesley defends it.

Hallenius winds up and cracks Wesley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Wesley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Wesley is desperately trying to improve his position but Hallenius has a good base and remains in mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hallenius postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wesley looks a forlorn figure.

Hallenius has hold of Wesley's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wesley manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hallenius fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wesley avoids it really well and circles away.

Hallenius closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hallenius fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hallenius misses with a takedown attempt - Wesley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hallenius shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wesley's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wesley swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hallenius misses with a takedown attempt - Wesley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wesley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wesley swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hallenius wants a takedown but no success here.
Wesley tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Wesley pushes off an throws an elbow but Hallenius leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Hallenius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hallenius has his hands on Wesley's head, controlling the position.
Wesley wants to control from the top but Hallenius keeps moving.
Hallenius manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wesley manages to get himself to full guard.

Hallenius goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nice takedown defense from Wesley. No joy for Hallenius on that attempt.

Wesley leaves Hallenius with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wesley moves in looking to clinch but Hallenius pushes him off.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hallenius shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wesley is trying to defend but Hallenius finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hallenius stands up over Wesley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wesley wants to get back to his feet but Hallenius is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hallenius stands and throws Wesley's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Wesley wants to stand but Hallenius is controlling his arm.
James Wesley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hallenius tries to improve position but can't.
Linus Hallenius is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hallenius gets back to half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hallenius, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
