Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Normandale!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ronaldo Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza fails with a takedown attempt.

Normandale shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Souza manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Normandale sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Souza's guard.
Normandale prevents Souza from improving his position.
Normandale wants to free his trapped foot but Souza is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Souza is not content to let Normandale control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Normandale pulls his head out easily.

Souza looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nice strikes from Normandale there.
Normandale is taking a breather. Souza says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Normandale trying to pass the guard but Souza defending well.
Souza is looking for a sweep. Normandale is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Souza looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Normandale lands with a punch from half guard.
Souza is breathing heavily.
Souza is in trouble now - Normandale has advanced to mount!

Normandale controlling from the full mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Normandale punishing his opponent with strikes.

Souza gives up his back whilst trying to strike.
Normandale keeps control of the position as Souza tries to break free.

Normandale keeps control of the position easily here as Souza tries to buck him off.
Normandale lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Normandale controlling well, preventing Souza from escaping the position.

Normandale is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Souza is tapping out! This one is all over!
