Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between patrick judge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Vukes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). patrick judge has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, patrick judge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Vukes!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vukes tries to close the distance and clinch up but judge swats him away and circles back towards the center.
judge gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Vukes with a flurry of punches that miss.
judge wriggles free and stands up.
Vukes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but judge avoids it really well and circles away.
Vukes shoots in for a double leg but judge sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Vukes counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vukes wants to pass the guard but judge is keeping the position.
judge on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if judge tries to get out of the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

judge is looking for a triangle but Vukes pushes his legs off easily.
judge is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vukes is controlling him.
Vukes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vukes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
judge has a closed guard, preventing Vukes from standing up.
Vukes is looking to work some ground and pound but judge has wrist control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vukes looks to land a body kick but judge moved away.
judge throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vukes was covering up waiting for the punch and judge finishes the takedown easily into guard.
judge wants to control from the top but Vukes keeps moving.

Vukes throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
judge is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Vukes wants to sweep but no luck.
Vukes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. judge doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. judge manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vukes throws a big right hand that misses.
judge thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Vukes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. judge swivels though and keeps the full guard.
judge trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
judge shoots in for a takedown but Vukes shows good takedown defense.
Vukes rushes judge and presses him up against the cage.
judge has Vukes pushed against the cage.
Vukes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as judge walks away with a smile on his face. Vukes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Vukes is looking to clinch.
judge misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vukes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Tommy Vukes has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vukes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
patrick judge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vukes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A control attempt from judge but he's now mounted!

Vukes trying to control but he's not successful this time.
judge is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vukes lands a heavy elbow.

Vukes looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
judge wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Vukes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control judge kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

judge is looking to improve his position but Vukes isn't that keen on the idea.

and judge decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vukes's guard.
Vukes is looking to stand up but judge isn't so interested in that idea.

judge has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
judge has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Vukes to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! judge is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Vukes pulls down on the head and he's put judge to sleep! This one is all over!
