Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur Dollar! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dollar fails to land the takedown. Jones has closed the distance and engaged Dollar in a clinch.
Dollar tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jones is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Dollar prevents the takedown attempt.
Dollar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. James Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur Dollar. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jones just misses with a elbow thrown towards Dollar's brow. Dollar blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jones drags the fight down to the ground.

Dollar drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dollar has Jones in his guard. Dollar wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones wants to pass the guard but Dollar is keeping the position. Dollar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dollar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones is looking to stand up but Dollar won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dollar controlling the position. Jones wants to control from the top but Dollar keeps moving. Dollar preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones gets a takedown into half guard. Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dollar keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can. Dollar manages to get to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dollar to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dollar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dollar controls the pace. That's one minute gone in the round. Dollar trying to control the position but Jones is working away. Dollar has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jones tries to lock up and control but Dollar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dollar looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well. Dollar is breathing heavily. Dollar working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up. Dollar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt. Dollar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dollar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Dollar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well. Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dollar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dollar's guard. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Dollar blocks nicely. Jones postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dollar misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a two punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Arthur Dollar will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Jones lands an overhand right. James Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dollar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dollar trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Dollar is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dollar to get the leverage. Jones trying to control from the bottom.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dollar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Dollar eventually gives up the hold.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Jones. Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
