Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timmy Varas!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Janik swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Varas stuffs the takedown attempt from Janik. Janik gets slowly back to his feet.
Varas misses with a takedown attempt
and Janik counters with a nice double leg into side control. Varas won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Janik tries to move to mount but Varas blocks the move with his legs.
Varas can't do much from the bottom here.
Varas prevents Janik from moving into mount.
Varas tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Janik is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Varas is trying to escape and Janik transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Varas is forced to tap! Nice work there by Janik! Very nice indeed!
