Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rikki Theodosi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rikki Theodosi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phillip McGee! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Theodosi lands a jab to McGee's midsection. McGee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Theodosi tries to avoid it but McGee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Theodosi to the ground. Theodosi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Theodosi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. McGee misses with a wild body shot. Theodosi cracks a nice hook into McGee's ribs. McGee moves away from the strike by Theodosi. McGee thows a body shot but no joy. McGee misses with a body shot
and Theodosi counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Theodosi just misses with a punch to the body.

Phillip McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGee lands a jab to Theodosi's midsection. McGee misses the body punch and Theodosi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McGee thinking. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGee swings and misses with a shot to the body and Theodosi counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Theodosi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Theodosi scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Some bone on bone action there as Theodosi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rikki Theodosi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Theodosi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Theodosi counters with a one-two to the body. McGee cracks Theodosi with a good jab. A big left from McGee misses. Theodosi looks to throw the jab but McGee is out of range. A combination from Theodosi does no damage. Theodosi misses with a double jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McGee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Theodosi as he jumps to the side. Theodosi thows a left - swing and a miss! A jab from Theodosi misses. McGee moves into the clinch successfully.

Theodosi scores with the left hand. McGee knows he should have avoided that one. McGee feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Theodosi's calf. McGee misses with a hook. Theodosi tries to bum rush McGee with a series of wild strikes but McGee uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A big left from McGee misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A punch lands to the side of McGee 's head but he takes it in his stride. McGee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Theodosi manages to avoid it. Theodosi misses with a looping left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McGee takes a body punch but keeps moving. Theodosi throws a hook to the side of McGee's head but McGee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McGee throws a leg kick but Theodosi checks it. McGee is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Theodosi moves out of range of the leg kick from McGee. Theodosi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGee.

McGee fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Theodosi blocks a jab. Theodosi is looking to wear down McGee with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. McGee throws a leg kick but Theodosi moved away. McGee moves out of range as Theodosi strikes. McGee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGee works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Theodosi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGee on the ground. Theodosi seems a little lost for a moment, as McGee dominates the positioning. The strikes coming from McGee are missing the target in this wave of attacks. McGee is looking to take a break and control but Theodosi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McGee is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Theodosi is working to avoid the ground and pound but McGee connects with a decent elbow. Theodosi is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but McGee has just dragged him back down to the mat. An elbow from McGee crashes against the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McGee gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee tries to score with a low kick but Theodosi moves his leg out of the way. Theodosi digs a good hook to McGee's body.

McGee ducks under a wild hook from Theodosi. Theodosi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGee was well out of range. Poor timing from Theodosi. Nice defenses there by McGee. McGee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Theodosi. McGee has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Theodosi finds it's way round the side to connect with McGee's head. The fighters circling - Theodosi throws out the jab but it was never going to land. McGee takes a swing at Theodosi's ribcage but misses. McGee lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Theodosi throws a series of punches but McGee avoids them all with ease. Theodosi throws a right and a left that both miss. McGee throws out a loose jab but Theodosi uses good head movement to avoid it. McGee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Theodosi dips to his left and cracks McGee with an uppercut! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rikki Theodosi dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - McGee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McGee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McGee showed some decent athleticism there. McGee is keen to just control but Theodosi is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGee trying to work for an americana but Theodosi has managed to regain full guard.
McGee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McGee advances position into side control! McGee tries to score with some ground and pound. Theodosi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Theodosi is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Theodosi regains half guard, as McGee was trying to land strikes. Theodosi is trying to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Theodosi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. McGee not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McGee misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Theodosi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Theodosi takes a swing at McGee's ribcage but misses. McGee tries to land a leg kick but Theodosi saw it coming and moves away.
Rikki Theodosi is winning the standup battle so far. Theodosi defending well as McGee loads up on a big left hand. McGee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McGee drops his hands momentarily and Theodosi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Theodosi throws a shot from downtown. McGee moves away and avoids it. McGee wants to clinch up but Theodosi keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Theodosi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGee. Theodosi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A shot to the body from McGee misses and Theodosi counters with a right hand to the body. Theodosi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McGee moves in looking to clinch but Theodosi pushes him off. Theodosi slips under a jab. A combination from Theodosi does no damage. McGee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Theodosi.

Phillip McGee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Theodosi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rikki Theodosi. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Theodosi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
