Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lukas Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lukas Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck West! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says West as he avoids it easily. Williams dives in and grabs West's left leg, looking for a takedown. West pushes down on Williams's head and hops out. West tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. West has a takedown stuffed. West scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
West throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease. West throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Chuck West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Williams controlling the action here. Williams is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Williams stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows West to get to his feet. Williams chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before West can pounce on him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. West tries to get back to half guard but can't. West gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Williams wants to free his trapped foot but West is holding on for dear life with his legs. West tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Williams passes to side control. Williams tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Williams is breathing heavily. West tries to buck Williams off but Williams is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams controlling from side mount. West prevents Williams from improving position. West is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. West manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Williams is refusing to be controlled, as West sits in half guard. Williams wants to get back to full guard. West working over Williams with some ground and pound. Williams looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Williams is staying active underneath West, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. West wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams gets back to full guard.
Williams wants to sweep but no luck. West trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Williams pulls West in close to his closed guard and prevents West from doing any damage or advancing position. Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. West gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. West is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Williams pulls West in to control the position. West working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Williams can't keep his opponent in guard - West advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. West is thwarting Williams's attempts to control the position. Williams punching from the bottom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lukas Williams will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Williams darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. West manages to regain full guard. Nice work. West looking to control.
Williams advances position into side control! Williams wants to control but West is keeping him busy. West is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but West keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. West gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Still in half guard, Williams seems content to control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. West wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.
Williams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Williams not landing any meaningful shots this time. West tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Williams moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from West. West gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
West tries to hold on but Williams postures up. Williams takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Williams wants to control the pace but West is squirming around nicely. A nice elbow there by Williams. West working to try and regain half guard.

Williams breaks from West's wrist control and lands an elbow. West wants to control but Williams is having none of it. Williams looking to secure an arm triangle but West defends it well. West working to try and regain half guard.
West tries to hold on but Williams pushes him away. Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as West is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Williams avoids the attempt from West to control. West is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as West is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lukas Williams dominated that second round. That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

West shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Williams is trying is best to control the position here. West tries to stand and escape but Williams actually recovers to full guard. West pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Williams is keeping the position for now. West takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. West throwing strikes but missing. Williams is controlling West's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. West postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of West, into his guard. Williams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. West working for submissions but it's allowed Williams to get to half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Williams throwing shots but West is blocking nicely. Williams controlling the pace. Williams is looking for a kimura but West is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Williams to get the leverage. Williams wants to stand up but West is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Williams controlling from mount. Williams prevents West from getting the reversal. West is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Williams with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. West is desperately trying to improve his position but Williams has a good base and remains in mount. Williams with shots to the head and body - West looks very uncomfortable down there. Williams avoids the attempt from West to control. Williams looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Lukas Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lukas Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Williams controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. West is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Lukas Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
