Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadeusz Moniuszko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I made it- kevin rudolf. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tadeusz Moniuszko was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tadeusz Moniuszko! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Moniuszko throwing strikes from guard but Carter blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moniuszko trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom. Moniuszko passes into half guard. Moniuszko trying to advance position but Carter counters by regaining guard. Moniuszko wants to pass the guard but Carter is keeping the position. Moniuszko looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carter chips away with some ground and pound. Moniuszko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Moniuszko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Moniuszko distracts Carter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Carter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moniuszko makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Carter is breathing heavily. Moniuszko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Moniuszko trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom. Carter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moniuszko defends well. Carter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moniuszko scoring with some ground and pound. Moniuszko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Moniuszko passes easily into side control. Nice work. Moniuszko tries to advance to mount but Carter denies him. Check out the look on Moniuszko's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Moniuszko gets slowly back to his feet. Mike Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadeusz Moniuszko. Moniuszko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moniuszko somewhat. Carter scores a takedown into full mount! Moniuszko tries to hold on but Carter postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carter moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Moniuszko has worked his arm free - good work by Moniuszko!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Carter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Moniuszko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Carter swings around for an armbar but Moniuszko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Carter's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Moniuszko trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Moniuszko seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Moniuszko. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moniuszko is just riding it out for now. Carter eventually gives up the hold. Carter is working for a kimura but Moniuszko is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Moniuszko looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Moniuszko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now. Carter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Moniuszko is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Carter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Moniuszko's back instead. Carter has the hooks in. Moniuszko is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Carter has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Carter patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tadeusz Moniuszko. I think Moniuszko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
