Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flair comes into the arena with Ric Flair Intro blaring out of the sound system. Davis has chosen The Who - Baba O'Riley as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ric Flair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Davis!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flair moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Davis scores with a takedown into Flair's guard.

Flair working for a triangle but Davis defends it easily.
Flair keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.
Flair striking off his back but it's not causing Davis any problems.
Flair manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Davis is wriggling around trying to escape.

Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Flair lands a heavy elbow.
Flair trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Flair is really struggling to control Davis but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Flair pulls his head out easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Flair cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Flair bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ric Flair overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Davis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Flair wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Davis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Flair off and has taken his back!
Flair is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Davis is trying to stick to Flair's back but Flair is turning into Davis. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Davis's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Flair.
Flair keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davis's head.

Flair is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Flair lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's time! Flair's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Davis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Flair cracks Davis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Flair lands a big shot there that rocks Davis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Flair fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Craig Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Davis tries to lock up and control but Flair gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Flair takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flair, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
