Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wade Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edwards kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is tie me down . Bishop has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Wade Edwards could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Steven Bishop's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wade Edwards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Bishop! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to avoid it but Bishop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Edwards to the ground. Edwards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bishop closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Edwards to the mat! Edwards manages to get full guard. Bishop drops back, looking for a kneebar! Edwards looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Edwards looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Edwards! Bishop struggling a bit here. Edwards throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Bishop manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Edwards not landing any meaningful shots this time. Edwards wants to free his trapped foot but Bishop is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bishop taking some punishment here, with Edwards in his half guard. Edwards not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Bishop moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Edwards missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bishop scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Bishop rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Edwards moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bishop fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bishop keeps the fight on the outside. Steven Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bishop leaves Edwards with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Edwards is breathing heavily. Bishop shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bishop trying to control but Edwards is working from the bottom. Bishop might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Edwards kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop sitting in guard here, content to control. Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Edwards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Edwards pushes Bishop off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bishop with a poor takedown and Edwards counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bishop! Edwards avoids the attempt from Bishop to control. Edwards scoring with strikes but Bishop is staying in there. Edwards lands with some strikes. Edwards dominating with strikes here. Bishop is desperately trying to improve his position but Edwards has a good base and remains in mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bishop is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Edwards is landing with some decent strikes but Bishop is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bishop wants to control but Edwards is having none of it. Edwards lands with some strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wade Edwards will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Edwards has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bishop pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Edwards is keeping the position for now. Bishop passes Edwards's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bishop postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Edwards to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop shoots and misses and Edwards counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bishop! Bishop sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Bishop looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Edwards trying to control from half guard but Bishop is working away. Bishop is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards postures up and lands a big shot to Bishop's brow.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bishop tries to close the distance and clinch up but Edwards swats him away and circles back towards the center. A combination from Edwards does no damage. Excellent takedown into side control there by Edwards. Edwards postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Edwards creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bishop takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Edwards tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bishop's legs. Bishop manages to work his way to half guard, despite Edwards's best efforts. Bishop looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Bishop avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Edwards. Edwards throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Edwards landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Edwards lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Bishop trying to hold on to Edwards's head to control him but Edwards postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Edwards lands strikes from half guard. Bishop gets full guard. Edwards in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bishop bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edwards's guard. Edwards keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Edwards pushes Bishop off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bishop fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Steven Bishop will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Bishop jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Edwards walks away with a smile on his face. Bishop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Edwards throws a series of punches but Bishop avoids them all with ease. Edwards tries for a takedown but Bishop circles away easily and Bishop counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Edwards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Edwards keeping full guard, as Bishop tries to pass. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Bishop won't allow Edwards to get back to his feet. Bishop's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bishop must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bishop throws a strike but Edwards rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Edwards accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Edwards with a flurry of punches that miss. Bishop trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Bishop is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Edwards stands up over Bishop, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Edwards tries to free his leg and advance position but Bishop is retaining full guard. Edwards thows a big elbow that misses. Edwards missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Edwards shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bishop counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Edwards! Bishop trying to control but Edwards is having none of it. Edwards wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

And that's the end of the fight! Steven Bishop comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bishop has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
