The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zslevski's guard.
Zslevski keeping full guard, as Vasquez tries to pass.
Zslevski looking for a guillotine here but Vasquez defends easily.

Zslevski lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vasquez!
Zslevski prevents Vasquez from getting the reversal.
Zslevski tries to stand up but Vasquez had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard.
Well, if Vasquez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Zslevski is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vasquez is keen to just control but Zslevski is a slippery customer.
Vasquez wants to free his trapped foot but Zslevski is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Zslevski is trying to get back to full guard.
Vasquez is taking a breather. Zslevski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vasquez blocks the strikes from Zslevski.
Vasquez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zslevski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vasquez has a takedown stuffed.
Vasquez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zslevski is fending him off so far but Vasquez persists. Nope, Zslevski circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Vasquez or perhaps it was just good defense by Zslevski which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Vasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Vasquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Vasquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zslevski is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Vasquez frees his head nicely. Oh but Zslevski has switched to an armbar! Vasquez is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
