Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Peck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig McDaniel!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDaniel takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McDaniel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peck circles away.

Peck clinches up against the cage.
Peck lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Peck is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

McDaniel pulls guard.
Peck wants to control from the top but McDaniel keeps moving.
Peck looking to pass the guard.
McDaniel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Peck.
Peck trying to control but McDaniel is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peck lands a couple of digs.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
McDaniel controls Peck momentarily but Peck frees himself.

McDaniel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDaniel keeping full guard, as Peck tries to pass.
Peck tries to stand but McDaniel is controlling from the bottom.
Peck has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Peck trying to control but McDaniel is working from the bottom.
McDaniel is controlling Peck's posture.

McDaniel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDaniel is trying to control the position but Peck postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Peck stands up out of McDaniel's guard for a moment - McDaniel manages to land a nice upkick.
McDaniel is striking from the bottom but Peck uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Peck thows a huge punch but McDaniel dodges it nicely.

Peck is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McDaniel is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chad Peck!
