The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier throws a right hand that faber ducks under and follows up with a left that faber also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Xavier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Xavier looks to land a combination but faber avoids it well.
faber blocks a head kick by Xavier.
Xavier looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? faber is fending him off so far but Xavier persists. Nope, faber circles away and we're back to standing.
faber throws an overhand right that lands on Xavier's shoulder, as Xavier tries to avoid the shot.
Xavier misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Xavier feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Xavier is sitting in close to faber's body. faber has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Xavier is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Xavier is tapping! That was a very nice submission by faber.
